Take Three Schools...
To fairly explore education in Dorset, in depth and breadth, we chose to research three very different schools.

A mixed comprehensive secondary school in the heart of Iford, Bournemouth. Closed in 1987.
A boys only grammar school in Charminster, Bournemouth, accessed by passing the entrance test. The school opened at a different site in January 1901.
A comprehensive secondary school in the heart of Poole. Initially segregated, the children later mixed. The school had a name change in the 1990s to Poole High.
